OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe …

  1. that the 66 Books of the Bible are the written Word of God.
  1. that the Bible is the final authority on all matters of Life, Faith, and Ministry.
  1. that the final guide to the interpretation of the Word of God is the Word of God itself.
  1. in the Trinity God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – One God expressing Himself in three distinctive Beings.
  1. in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His sacrificial death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and His personal future return to reign in power and glory.
  1. that human beings (Adam and Eve) were created with innocence, in the image of God, to be in a relationship with God. Adam and Eve, by voluntary transgression, fell, and now the only hope of redemption for mankind is in Jesus Christ who paid the ultimate price for mankind’s sin.
  1. that freedom from the penalty and power of sin is only by grace through faith in the sacrificial death and shed blood of Jesus Christ and His complete and bodily resurrection from the dead.
  1. that those who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour by faith are reconciled to God, His children, and indwelled by the Holy Spirit.
  1. that the Holy Spirit lives in and enables Christians to live righteous lives.
  1. in the baptism in the power of the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues, and the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the edification of the body of Christ.
  1. that the Church, also known as the Body of Christ, is the habitation of God through the Holy Spirit, with divine appointment for the fulfilment of the Great Commission.
  1. that the Lord Jesus appointed two ordinances: (1) the Christian’s baptism by immersion in water as a public witness and confession of faith and identification with Christ; and (2) the Lord’s Supper (the partaking of the emblems – bread and the fruit of the vine) as both a memorial and proclamation of His suffering, death, and future return.
  1. that marriage is a union between a man and a woman, and that it is an institution of God supposed to be a permanent covenant relationship.
  1. that the devil is a real spiritual being and the personal adversary of both God and mankind.
  1. in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – the one to everlasting life, and the other to everlasting damnation.
